I have had similar problems when downgrading from the Nightly releases to 6.3. I got it working by wiping out everything and starting over in my configuration of slimserver. I am listening to a great IP mix now!

This is different than the page I receive if I start the API service manually from MusicIP. That page allows you to enter a song and it returns a playlist. I installed MusicMagicServer.exe but did nothing with MusicMagicService.exe.
