I've been experiencing a problem with SlimServer not starting on my Windows PC. I've noticed that some other people appear to have the same problem but I have not yet seen a solution.
I've done some investigating and discovered the following: I have to say that I am not 100% sure about what I am doing here, and there may be a better way of doing it. Having said that, it's worked for me. I looked at the "xxxxxxxxx.err" file in c:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\Cache\MySQL and found this: --------------------------------------------- 060619 10:23:16060619 10:23:16 [ERROR] Cannot find table slimserver/genres from the internal data dictionary of InnoDB though the .frm file for the table exists. Maybe you have deleted and recreated InnoDB data files but have forgotten to delete the corresponding .frm files of InnoDB tables, or you have moved .frm files to another database? Look from section 15.1 of http://www.innodb.com/ibman.html how you can resolve the problem. --------------------------------------------- I deleted all the .frm files from c:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\Cache\MySQL\slimserver I restarted slimserver and it re-built the database. It's now working ok.
