I've suddenly started having the same problem which has been posted a number of times: music playback through my wireless SB3 stutters through every song played. The thing is not one thing has changed from the time when it was working perfectly.
Running on a Win XP Pro SP2 system, Hawking wireless router, PC is wired to the router but SB3 is wireless. FW version 35, Slimserver version 6.2, signal strength 80%, buffer <= 10%. I'll probably move to FW version 43, but what I'd like to understand is WHY did this suddenly start happening? This very same setup worked like a champ through the time I last used it (about a month ago - I've been on travel). At that time I could leave a huge playlist running for hours on end. Never skipped or stuttered on me once. When I started it up today it has been completely unable to play any tune without stuttering. The only program I'd installed since Slimserver is Tag&Rename, which has nothing to do with a network interface. Hoping to hear from anyone who could help me figure this out! I read a post where the person who had the same problem said it went away when he reinstalled Slimserver. I've used Tag&Rename a lot on my music library, but told Slimserver to completely rescan my library before playing music. Is there any evidence that some kind of Slimserver problem can cause this stuttering? -- tonyptony ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tonyptony's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3397 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24850 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
