Well, don't bang your head against the desk! Let's start with the easy stuff:
You're connected from a Windows PC to an SB3 using an adhoc wireless network, is that correct? On the PC, you can tell what the IP address of the various by opening up a command prompt, and typing "ipconfig". If you have multiple network adapters (like the wireless and perhaps a connection to a high speed internet service) you may need to do a bit of detective work to figure out which IP is which. Or just tell us both and we'll try to guess. On the Squeezebox, you can scroll to the "Current Settings" menu.
