Hello ppl, I noticed that in the place where my wireless SB2 is located, the signal strength is somewhat higher (30%-36%)when the external antenna is disconnected from the rear... (28%-33% with antenna connected)
Does the SB2 deploy diversity antennas? Any thoughts on why a behaviour like this would occur? Also I noticed that when I replaced the external antenna with an external antenna from a wireless SB1 the signal is the best among all 3 scenarios (33%-44% range).. As far as I know there is not a hardware difference between the 2 ext antennas, right? The only difference that I can tell is "mechanical" i.e. the "new" antenna screws in normally and one can still rotate the angle clockwise-anticlockwise at the end after..hm..screwing.. :) This seems normal to me, right? The "old" antenna screws in somewhat more tightly, and at the end you can not rotate the antenna freely..you have to loosen it back a little bit..rotate to the desired angle and tighten it afterwards. Could this difference in "tightness" explain the better signal for the "old" antenna? Any thoughts?
