It shouldn't. If you use up too much bandwidth there's a risk that you'll get dropouts, but there won't be any subtle degredation. Keep in mind that wireless is a shared medium, though; even if you get a separate card for the computer, it'll still chew up the available bandwidth.

Does the wireless bridge functionallity in SB3 affect the sound quality when playing music and transfering files from a computer connected to the SB3 at the same time ? I guess that I'm afraid that the music will get less bandwith over the wireless network and that this would affect the music played. I was going to buy a separate wireless card for the computer but I just realized that it might be possible to use the bridge functionallity in the SB3 instead. I'm using FLAC as format for all music files if that matters. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.homeip.net) 'My download page' (http://erland.homeip.net/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-trackstat) , 'SQLPlayList' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-sqlplaylist) , 'DynamicPlayList' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-dynamicplaylist) and 'RandomPlayList' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-randomplaylist) plugins) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=25456 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
