I installed the beta on Ubuntu tonight and it was very easy. 1) added "deb http://debian.slimdevices.com stable main" to my /etc/atp/sources.list file 2) did "sudo apt-get install slimserver" which gave a ton of dependency errors. 3) did "sudo apt-get -f install" which downloaded all the dependencies and installed slimserver.
