yup. stored on disk, read back in during scan.

perhaps. but, that does mean knowing the type for each item in the current playlist at the time of the "wipe" that would no longer actually be a "wipe". might be simpler to allow the current song to keep playing, if playing. Given that 6.5 launches a separate scan process, it is certainly not impossible, and could already be the case. I haven't tried it, and am unlikly to have time to run off and try today. Perhaps ask on beta forum where more ppl are using the beta.
