SlimServer Version: 6.5b1 - 7444 - Windows Server 2003 - EN - cp1252 Media server with AMD Athlon 3200+, 2GHz, 500 MB memory, 500 GB hard disk. No raid because of the noise level (in the sitting room) and also I found it better to have 1 separate NAS (at home) with weekly backups and 1 NAS parked with a friend - switching places every month or so.
Lynx II soundcard driven by SoftSqueeze (service), feeding external DAC. I just removed my SB3 (which I used as a control unit only) and replaced it with an IPaq handheld (because all members of family just couldn't learn the SB3 remote and because I like to see the artwork of what I'm listening to). Albums 2,240 Tracks: 11,520 Artists: 1,670 Approximately 1,000 CD's in (mostly) FLAC (using classical music tagging so 1 album = 1 work meaning normally several albums on one CD). 240 GB and still ripping.
