FLAC is an acronym, Free Lossless Audio Codec, and should be
capitalized.  Much like "BBC".  ;-)

It bugs me too, but the style in the UK is that if an acronym is pronounceable, spell it like a regular word and capitalize only the first letter. So FLAC is Flac, but BBC is still BBC!
