I am having a similar problem with a brand new SB3. To test it with a minimum configuration, I dedicated the Internet connection to the SB by plugging the ethernet directly from the modem into the SB. While scrolling through RSS feeds, the remote became unresponsive. I thought the batteries were depleted. By the time I replaced them, it was responding again. I thought it was the new batteries that had solved it (ha ha). But, alas, it "froze" again a few minutes later while simply listening to an Internet radio station.
