My squeezebox is connected to a digital input of a Yamaha 5.1 decoder but I listen to music in 2 channel mode through Castle Compact speakers (2.1 if you include the sub). Like many people my audio and AV systems are combined in my main listening/viewing room. The Yamaha has various stereo to multi channel modes (hall, theatre etc) but they don't do much to enhance my listening experience.
