There is no more development work going on with 6.3.x. That pretty much says it all. 6.5 recently had a major rework of the various artists issues and should solve the problems users are seeing with 6.3.x. If you wish to give it a try, it is available as a nightly download, and will soon be available as a "stable pre-release" build as well. You can also wait for release and hope that it fixes the issue for your specific case.
