SlimServer is my old P4 desktop with some added RAM. It's fast enough to run SlimServer, but I suspect I'll have the urge to upgrade to a dual core system sometime in the near future. At that time I'll probably install a large RAID array in the server itself rather than using the NAS for storage. The NAS will then likely be used only for backup purposes.

I've removed a couple of hard drives since the days when it was used as my desktop, so the case is larger than it needs to be. File storage: - Infrant ReadyNAS 600 - 878 GB of storage (4 x 320GB drives in RAID5) It also lives in the basement.
