I too have been trying to get the slimserver streaming to my PSP, but I have given up on the RSS method and gone the homebrew track.
I came across this pretty cool app PSPRadio: http://dl.qj.net/PSPRadio-Pre-release-0.38.091-Installer-edition-PSP-Homebrew-Applications/pg/12/fid/6448/catid/189 Using this app I can create a playlist to my Slimserver and connect, I can then see the PSP as a Player on the Slimserver PC and set settings accordingly. I used LAME MP3 @128. When I select music and play the stream on the PSP it works, but it sounds like it is skipping / jumping. Then I found this very detailed guide: http://forums.qj.net/showthread.php?t=48862 Basically I followed the guide, but what I did different was use Winamp as my main player on the Slimserver PC, then used the PSP to tune into the Shoutcast Stream!! Seems complicated, but it worked perfectly!!! So I've got this set up on the Slimserver PC: Slimserver-> Winamp-> Oddcast Plugin-> Shoutcast Server-> [then to WIFI Router]-> PSPRadio on PSP The beauty of the PSPRadio program, is that it has a Browser Plugin (Links2) which lets you control your Slimserver playlist while it is still streaming. My preference would be to have the Slimserver played directly to PSPRadio (i.e. Slimerser -> PSPRadio), it seems it is possible. Is there a difference between the Shoutcast vs the Slimserver MP3 output stream?? It gets too complex for me from here. Anybody have any ideas?? Thanks. -- newgas ------------------------------------------------------------------------ newgas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=26310 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
