I plan to drop the wireless connection all together since is only around 10 feet wire run. My question is there anything I have to set to use the ethernet?
Nothing too complicated. Since you have wireless I'm assuming you're running a wireless router. All you'll need to do is run an ethernet cable from the router to the squeezebox.
