OK, this is getting frustrating, and help from Slim is not forthcoming, so, figured I'd try you guys....
I started getting the above error pretty much seemingly out of nowhere (I realize it's never really out of nowhere, just seems that way). I can't recall having changed anything. At varying points on different songs (not all songs, but many, perhaps most), the above error flashes on the top of the SB3 screen and the song stops playing. Sometimes it happens right near the start of the song, sometimes well into the song. I've tried several different software/firmware versions and eventually it happens to all (I say eventually because there are times I'll go for a few days without error). Tried Release versions as well as beta. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, and upgrade-installed. Right now I'm on last night's release of 6.51 alpha. I realize it's entirely possible this isn't even a Slim problem, but since it's Slim's error I'd like to at least start collecting a list of potential error condition sources so I can start trial-and-error diagnosis of root cause. My SB is wireless, with good signal strength (again, some songs complete, and I can play complete songs on a wireless laptop connection using WinAmp), so I don't think it's wireless drop-outs, unless there's something I'm not aware of in that. I use a Linksys NSLU2 for storage. Most songs are FLAC (not sure if I've seen the problem on an MP3, I'll have to check that). Not sure what else I can tell you. I love my SB3 but this problem has been interfering with my enjoyment of it for a couple of MONTHS now, and support from Slim has been virtually useless (they haven't even answered my last email to Support. not that I've been banging down there door tho, I've only called in twice and emailed twice over the past 3 months).
