Yeah, mp3tag does to. A bit of a flaw in the software IMO. If they cant
write certain data to some tags, you should atleast get an error message
or something.

I think i will give up for now, much of my collection is OGG/FLAC and
these are the formats i plan to continue using in future. Hopefully
future tag versions for Ogg/FLAC will include this.
