In case anyone is subscribed and is interested, I fixed my dropout problem by... resetting the BIOS. My everpresent and nagging dropouts were erased entirely. I am thankful to say the least (I was using my squeezebox1 less and less because of my frustration) but I'm not quite sure what fixed it. Improper CPU clock speed maybe? I have yet to step through the BIOS again and configure them one at a time to determine exactly what the problem was (I've left the defaults). If anyone has any ideas to make the job easier I'd be happy to hear them. My squeezebox is much more enjoyable now that it doesn't stutter.
