There is an easy way to convert WMA/WMA-DRM to MP3, it can be fairly time consuming if you've got lots of files but it works.
And do you know the best part? All you need is Windows Media Player (WMP). Simply burn all your WMA or WMA-DRM files to a CD-RW using WMP, then rip them back off using WMP ensuring you are ripping them as MP3 format (Tools > Options > Rip Music Tab). And that's all the licence stuff gone, no protection... just a plain honest-to-god MP3. Erase the disk, then off you go again.
