Recently I ran into some problems when restarting the Squeezebox: it could not connect to my wireless connection any more. After deactivating all my security settings I noticed it had 'announced' itself with MAC address 00:04:20:FF:FF:01, while previously it has been 00:04:20:05:A5:9C (and this is printed on the label). Can this be true? Anyone else seen this behaviour?
I always thought that a MAC address was burned in the hardware and could not be changed.
