I had exactly the same requirements and I went with Clark Connect. It's kind on resources, has a nice web GUI for management (although you still have to get your hands dirty for some things) and seems rock solid - nice support forums too. I'm using it as an FTP/web server, slimserver and NFS server for my TViX HD media box and it all works like a charm.
