Anybody know if there will be a (hopefully official) Crestron module
made available to control the Transporter?
It seems like this would be part of the plan, given the RS232
interface.
Though a Crestron module to control things by talking directly to the
SlimServer seems like a more flexible solution that would work for the
Squeezeboxes as well.
The SlimServer API is very rich, and adding support for automation
systems is straight-forward. Note that AMX already has a rich interface
to the SlimServer, here's a screenshot from it:

Using RS-232 is kinda lame for an automation system in this case.
TCP/IP is way better (way faster, quite rich), and the SlimServer
supports that today.
I'm not sure what/how the RS-232 interface behaves on the Transporter.
But as I said, the existing TCP/IP CLI interface is very rich and would
support the Transporter as well as Squeezebox 1's, 2's, and 3's. It's a
no-brainer that would be the interface to use.
I don't think Slim Devices would write such a module. It's up to
someone in Crestron land to do that.
