I have a similar problem. A couple of hours ago the album art was there and now, poof, a three or four disappeared. It seems there are two types of placeholders, at least in Fishbone: the contour of the ones I don't have album art are dark grey, and the ones that just disapeared are black.
I wonder if its a skin issue. I'll test it when I have the time. Or maybe its a size issue: maybe my album art is too big. SlimServer Version: 6.5.0 - 9916 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252.
