I managed to fix that part. I moved the squeezebox (had to get extensions for my speakers and power outlets) about 5 feet closer to the router and now the signal is strong enough. Kinda weird though that I had been running without a single hitch for two months from that spot and the day I switch to 6.5, it stops working... interference, kbps requirements raised... who knows. At least it works now... I'm not one to complain much once it works, so even though there are still some minor bugs on my side, I can play (most) of my music.
