I have a number of CDs that include Bonus Tracks ... most notably,
virtually all of my David Bowie CDs are loaded with bonus tracks. While I appreciate having all this extra music, somehow "Young
Americans" does not sound quite right when it doesn't end with "Fame".

I suppose I could break these up by editing the tags to set the bonus
tracks for a different album name from the main tracks (such as "Young
Americans" and "Young Americans Bonus Tracks") ... but is there a
better way to do this?

God damned Rykodisc. :) The Elvis Costello reissues are even worse -- some of those bonus tracks sound like they just turned on a tape deck randomly while hanging out with friends and then they stuck it on the end of the CD.

The weird thing is, I've always known that both Bowie and Elvis were unhappy with the bonus tracks on the Ryko releases, and in both cases, subsequent reissues on different labels didn't include the bonus tracks on the same disk, but I never understood why until I got my squeezebox. When I was listening to CDs, it never bugged me having to get up to change the disk when the bonus tracks start, but when I'm listening to a playlist with 4 different albums queued up in a row, it's much more annoying.
