It should have no effect on sound quality whatsoever. I am more concerned about how I work with the files if I go the FLAC route. I assume that it is pretty straight-forward to automatically maintain a separate copy of all my music at say [EMAIL PROTECTED] to be able to sync to my portable players through Windows Media Player. The problem is that when I change the rating for songs in, say, my phone - that change does not carry over to the original file.
Ideally, I would like to see WMA Lossless support in Transporter or FLAC support in Windows Media Player.
