This thread is about the /Cache/FileCache folder only - thats the cache we are all referring to.
With SlimServer 6.3 I had a fully working SlimServer / SoftSqueeze set up and was looking to invest in a 5-room SqueezeBox configuration (though i have also raised a query about whether there will be a GUI-based remote). But at the moment, it no longer appears to be a real option to do this - SlimServer seems to have become far too unstable. With all the releases I've tried of SlimServer 6.5 I have a virus-like application that fills my entire hard drive with 100s of GB of data and brings down my computer. The latest release I am using (SlimServer_6.5_v2006-10-06.exe) doesn't even work at all! The server says it is running but when i try to access the web interface the page cannot load. I've tried to be as helpful as possible with feedback and running diagnostics as requested, and although it seems some changes were made (sadly with no results) by andyg, over a week of discussion on this board hasn't resolved the issue and i am left with no working set up and no choice but to downgrade to 6.3 or look elsewhere.
