Whilst I share some concerns with you, I'm not ready to write Slim off just yet. Your last line confuses me though - what makes you think my squeezeboxes and transporter are suddenly going to stop working just because the company that made them has changed hands? I don't care if they never release another patch or update - mine do everything I need already.
