Yes - Logitech doesn't own SlimServer any more than Slim Devices ever did. Which is why Roku can use it, and there isn't anything anyone can do about it. That's the downside, your competitor can use what you came up with. Why are the code contributors not ranting at Roku? Roku never paid any of the code contributors. The cat's out of the bag, the source code is out there in the wild.
