Tried downloading the 6.5.1 version, and I could not even get software
work to at all, and once I did get it working same results, just
clicking noise.
Very strange, I don't have much advice to give you. One bit of info: I use two SliMP3's daily (along with other devices) and haven't had a lick of problems with 6.5 and the subsequent 6.5.1 builds. There is something unique to your situation and I would advise that you contact SD support because there simply aren't going to be a lot of people with SliMP3 devices out there -- at least compared to those with the newer devices.
