The point to me is that we all know Slim and it has an certain reputation for high quality sound, but is a bit of a geeky product. LogiTech have another brand image, which is for PC products and some people have good experience of them. We're in the know and we can make wise choices. I bought my device after a lot of research and steered clear of PC solutions - I wanted an audiophile product from a dedicated HiFi specialist, not a global electronics giant with different criteria for success. Now if I'm an audiophile completely new to networked audio and walk into a store and see a LogiTech product and a Sonos product, I may think "LogiTech do PC peripherals and PC sound is generally awful, so I think I'll take a look at this Sonos (or Sooloos) product, whoever they are". It may not be fair, but we are loaded with preconceptions about products based on brand and appearance. This often steers purchases towards the familiar and safe option. Slim built up a reputation, changing to LogiTech could throw that away. -- CardinalFang ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CardinalFang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=962 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29081 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
