Just write Slim Support. They'll send you a new one ... assuming you're still under warranty. What they sent me was the entire front panel, to which the alumuminum bezel is attached with adhesive. The problem of detachment stems from the front panel being screwed too tightly to the back of the unit. Doing so deforms the front panel slightly, puckering in the areas right in front of the screws. When you get your new front panel, you have to be careful that you don't do the same thing! It's also a little disconcerting screwing the thing back together because the screw holes in the replacement front panel are not tapped with threads, so you really have to bear down on the little wrench they provide you. My advice into tighten slowly (half turn at a time), and then stop tightening the instant you get no play between the front and back of the case. Then, observe reflections in the front of the case. If you've overtightened, you'll see deformations in the reflections where the screws attach. If you see deformations, back the screws out a bit. -- jonheal Jon Heal says: Have a nice day! http://www.theheals.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jonheal's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2133 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29516 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
