I have a Squeezbox 2. Does anyone have an .ir file for the remote for the Bose 321 GS II[1] remote and a code to accompany it?
The remote has an "Aux" mode and a code can be entered to make the remote work like a remote for a different device. I currently set it up as a JVC DVD player remote and many of the buttons work (thanks to the jvc_dvd.ir file). But, not all features work -- for example, I cannot control the volume on the Squeezebox. One thing I'm not clear on is when I run the server with -d_ir does it only report about codes that are set up in the .ir file? That is, many of the buttons on the remote do not generate any log entries when pushed. I'm not sure if that's the SlimServer not reporting the key presses, or if the remote is just not generating any output for those keys when I have it set as a JVC DVD remote. For example, the remote has a key labeled "Shuffle" that does not generate any log entries when pressed (and doesn't seem to do anything) -- so it would be nice to be able to map that to the shuffle action. I suspect the remote is just not transmitting. So, I guess I'll need to try and find another code that enables more of the buttons on the remote and then try and may those to commands. BTW -- is the Slim Server setup to allow mapping remote buttons to run external commands?
