Yes, this is known as WDS (Wireless Distribution System):

While it can increase effective signal strength, bandwidth will drop:

But you should still have enough capacity for WAV and FLAC.

It's apparently pretty tricky to implement, equipment from different
manufacturers doesn't work that well together.  Even equipment from the
same manufacturer may be tricky to set up.  For one thing, many router
firmwares don't even have the option.
