I have been looking at different devices as a remote and since my TV and hifi are in the same room it struck me that I could get a media center PC as a remote. As a bonus this would reduce the box count around the TV.
Does anyone use a media center PC? I haven't seen one in action before but I assume you have a wireless keyboard and mouse on your lap and big fonts on the TV. Pros No laptops around the sofa Can put dvd and stb's in one box Could run SS Cons Could be noisy TV might be hard to read across the room.
