No, there isn't. And I feel your pain. Then again, what else would you suggest? Until the player is able to get on the network, there's not much it can do - such as cloning another player's settings or pulling the password from the server. I'ts a bit of chicken and egg. At least the password entry has gotten _much_ better with the newer versions of the firmware, though there's still some room for improvement. I've filed a number enhancement requests for data entry on the Squeezebox, some of which have been addressed. One of them that hasn't been implemented yet is that the data entry uses non-fixed width characters.
