Thanks for the input. I delayed feedback til I had a chance to see whether install of latest daily worked. Seems OK now. Still need some time, but early reviews last night were good (no popping sound). Appreciate the input...great forum for help! For what it is worth: I am now using: SlimServer Version: 6.5.1 - 10758 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252. Using wireless SB, but caved in and cabled it just so it is a bit faster and more responsive. Also, in the for what it is worth department...I NEVER have the popping sound when streaming to WinAmp on my desktop computer (where SS is located). All of the popping occurs (hopefully "occurred") when using the SB. Not sure if that is a clue.
