Ummm .. no. The development process never stops (we hope!). The nightlies go on more or less uninterrupted. When 6.5.1 is finally released, I'd expect a new nightly stream to start more or less straight away - perhaps labelled 6.5.2, or 6.6, depending on how the plan is looking at the time. There always has to be *somewhere* to put the fixes and minor enhancements. That's in addition to the more radical new version 7.0, of course, which continues in parallel... this is at the moment not at all stable and not to be touched by mere mortals unless feeling very brave indeed, though at some point it will be declared a "beta" and we will be invited to try it out. The incremental cost of these nightlies is trivial - just the cost of maintaining the servers - and not in the slightest like the cost of doing a formal test and release cycle. This principle of continuing parallel development of the "safe" nightly (6.5.1 at the moment) and the "potentially unstable" (7.0) is a great strength of the slimserver/open source development model and is not to be fiddled with lightly...
