But it's about the same for WAV.  The disc swapping and tag correction
(so the files will be named properly) is required for uncompressed too.

Encoding to FLAC adds 30 seconds to a minute per average track.

This is not to say that ripping isn't a lot of work, but if you're
taking the time to rip, you might as well take a little extra time to
encode too.
