I, too, had trouble with the RF noise from the SB when trying to use a radio it was sitting on. Radio unusable with SB connected to mains. Then I discovered the Creative Soundworks CD 740 - utterly stunning; and its radio works fine with the SB3 sitting on top and powered up. Here's a UK site (check out the reviews!); Creative in US sells it for about $350... http://www.evesham.com/v2/products/info.asp?e=55F2F010-E5A0-4194-9620-B227DA9209AB You can plug in a proper aerial, as you describe, for the FM input. The unit has a small footprint - but incorporates an amazing subwoofer. The sound is all round excellent, and at the price unbelievably good. And it has an alarm function (as well as a sleep function). -- Diana -- Diana ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Diana's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7463 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=25688 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
