Hello! I've been a happy owner of a Squeezebox 1 for a couple of years now. Last year lightning took out the wired ethernet on my SB, but it worked fine on the wireless so I continued to use it.
In the last month or so I've had a bunch of problems with 2-10 second dropouts, clicking in the middle of songs (probably fractional second dropouts), etc. I had an old d-link wap (802.11b) that I did not like, and that my notebook 802.11b card had issues with from time to time. When I was trying to debug this issue with the SB I could barely get my notebook to stay on the wireless network so I dropped the cash to upgrade to a nicer WAP. (The new one is a netgear WGR614v6 802.11g model.) At first it seemed like it was a lot better but now I'm having problems again. I haven't been seeing problems on my notebook this time though, and the SB reports 92% signal strength. Last night I finally turned on some logging in my slimserver config and I've stuck the logs here[1]. Do these logs shed any insight into these problems for anyone? And/or does anyone have any ideas about what I should look at next? Here is the version info from slimserver: SlimServer Version: 6.5.0 - 9916 - Debian - EN - iso-8859-1 Server IP address: 216.49.153.81 Perl Version: 5.8.4 i386-linux-thread-multi MySQL Version: 4.1.11-Debian_4sarge7 Thanks, Dale [1] - http://maui.doit.org/~dmartin/log.txt -- Dale E.
