That's not at all what you claimed. "helps bring ..... back" is not the same as restores to original form. "Sound Retriever" is clearly shown as a feature on their site. It says nothing, and I expect does nothing, to restore the signal that is removed during MP3 and similar lossy codec compression. These codecs work by throwing away signal that are masked and not judged important enough to take up compressed space. It may be good, it may make MP3s listenable or more enjoyable, or better. They don't claim what you claimed, that it restores it to the original state. Using a lossless compression makes it trivial to restore to exactly the bit perfect original. Of course, if Pioneer published some details on what they are doing, one could write a suitable plugin for the SlimServer....
