Yeah, there's a reason. Basically, the prediction is actually the storage density, which they say will get to 50 Tb within the next decade. The 'article' (http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,72387-0.html) extrapolates that to a current 3.5 in hard drive area, giving the 37.5 TB figure.
