If it never finishes, then it's not a matter of being slow - it would be something hanging or crashing the scanner. How many files, where are they stored and what are the comparable hardware platforms? When I had my files located on an NAS, scanning from Windows took more than 35 minutes. Moving the files onto the Windows machine itself shortened that to under 12. I'm not sure if that's par for having the files located on a file server, or if there are Perl/Windows issues reading files across the network. -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31844 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
