I doubt it...

No problem around here. But then I don't use an inferior application as
iTunes to rip my music and I use other applications to (re)tag my music
if they're missing or incomplete.
I try to use the best application I can get for a specific task, not 1
average application for all tasks...

We'll see that in ... years when because of DRM enhancements and
regulations iTunes refuses to play old songs (even when you own the CD
of which you ripped them...

What I see is a PDA with restricted functionality and a different
layout for probably a much higher price... and guess what, you already
can use a PDA for controlling slimserver (and by that your
squeezebox(es))...

There is a fundamental difference between a squeezebox and a Apple
Airport Express (AAE). The squeezebox controls the slimserver. The AAE
is controlled by the computer.
The squeezebox was (as I see it) designed to be in another room than
the computer.
With the AAE you need the computer to be in the same room to be able to
control the music... (I don't like to have to run to another room to
change the music...).
