This is the problem. Unfortunately the transcoder has been lost to
slimserver somehow. As it's a launched process, there isn't a direct
way to see the problem in log output. However, if you stop the
server, you can run it manually from a command prompt and see what is
dumped from the transoders. open a command prompt:
start->program->accessories->command prompt
then run:
"c:\program files\slimserver\server\slim.exe"
try and play an ALAC song, and the failure should hopefully show a
message in the command prompt window.
