Welcome Jim! I think the SlimServer moto sums up what's great about the Squeezebox: free your music! It frees your music from the CD. And, to me, its not simply a more convenient way to listen to music. Thanks to the Squeezebox, I can now listen to music anyway I choose. I can listen to whole albums, the old fashioned way. Or I can listen to my favorite Nick Cave songs, or my favorite Beatles songs. I can listen to chillout songs, to some classical piano or whatever...
