There's a big difference between a client in the general sense, and a webapp client. A stand-alone client can be written in a proper typesafe language with a compiler that gives you warnings. It can do more complex server requests. It can manage its own memory. It can manage state much more easily. It can be developed in a system where unit tests are easier to run. etc, etc, etc -- totoro squeezebox 3 -> mccormack dna .5 -> audio physic tempo 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ totoro's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5935 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32104 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
