Have you tried pressing AND HOLDING the Power button? Most likely it is a problem with the SB, but I've noticed a change since going to 6.5.1. Sometimes after my computer is asleep, the SB remains when the computer wakes up.
Before 6.5.1 pressing the Power button gave a "waking SlimServer, Connecting to SlimServer message" and then went dark again. Pressing and holding the power button got me into the setup menu from which I could connect.
